FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • We run spring teams across multiple age groups (e.g., 2017, 2018, 2019, etc.), depending on interest and availability of high end coaches.

    • Development focus: We use spring to sharpen skills and give players opportunities they don’t always get in winter programs.

    • Tournaments, not leagues: Spring hockey revolves around high-level weekend tournaments and exhibition games.

    • Culture-first: We look for families that want to build something positive, not just chase medals. Kids play for their respective public and private hockey clubs across the city and come back together each spring to build on the previous years successes.

  • No. The Wolves have no connection to unsanctioned hockey. We bring together talent from all areas of the hockey community without boundaries or red tape. Participating in our program will have no impact on winter programming.

  • Yes. Wolves host ID Skates/ evaluations/tryouts for each birth year to place players on teams. Exact dates are posted on our website and social channels each season. They normally happen in early winter.

  • We practice and host skates primarily in West-End Ottawa-area arenas (e.g., Bell Centennial, Bell Sensplex, Cardel Rec Center, Beckwith Arena, etc.), and travel to tournaments in Ontario, Quebec, and occasionally the U.S.

  • Depending on the year, Wolves players typically receive:

    • Custom team gear (jerseys, socks, hat, hoodie, tshirt, shorts tracksuits, backpacks, etc.)

    • Development-focused practices with Professional Hockey experienced coaches

    • Tournament entries (4 weekends per spring season)

    • Team bonding events

    • Team Practice & Skills Sessions (3 hours per week of combined team practice and skills sessions with a local expert)

  • The Ottawa Wolves are owned by Bradley Bezan as part of his Corporation, Ottawa Super League.

Through this Corporation, Bradley provides not-for-profit hockey programming to motivated kids from house leagues to Elite Division 1 players across Eastern, Ontario.

The Wolves are an important part of Bradley’s passion project, giving kids from all walks of life a chance to be trained by the best even if they can’t afford it while getting noticed on some of the biggest stages.
